Materials Engineering and Modern Manufacturing 2020

Kaunas University of Technology presents the 28th International Baltic Conference Materials Engineering and Modern Manufacturing held on October 22-23, 2020. This event is a forum for disseminating recent research results and a discussion amongst scientists and materials engineering industry experts from the Baltics and other countries.

About Materials Engineering and Modern Manufacturing 2020

Conference will feature a wide range of presentations on advanced materials and processes, technologies and applications of engineering materials, surface engineering and technologies.

International Baltic Conference of Engineering Materials and Tribology was initiated 30 years ago and the first conference took place in 1991 and as “The first International Baltic Conference on Powder Metallurgy”. Since then, conference continues the tradition of the regular meetings held annually in one of the three Baltic States, with specific topics in each country: Surface Engineering and Tribology in Estonia, Biomaterials Engineering in Latvia and Engineering Materials in Lithuania.

After very successful previous events in Tallinn and Riga we will bring together leaders from industry and academia to exchange their experiences, present research results, explore possible collaborations, and spark new ideas.

Accepted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and published by the Trans Tech Publications in the online access journal “Solid State Phenomena” ISSN 1012-0394, which is being indexed in major academic databases (SCOPUS; Ai Compendex; SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR); Inspec (IET, Institution of Engineering Technology); Chemical Abstract Service (CAS); Google Scholar; Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA); ProQuest; Ulrichsweb; EBSCOhost Research Databases; CiteSeerX; Zetoc; EVISA; Index Copernicus Journals Master List; WorldCat (OCLC).

Selected papers having met the requirements of the journal “Materials Science” (Medžiagotyra) ISSN 1392-1320 (abstracted and indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), the Web of Science (WoS), the Materials Science Citation Index (MSCI), Neuroscience Citation Index, Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition; INSPEC; Cambridge Scientific Abstracts; VINITI) will be published in the journal in the course of their submission.
